In one morning we might change a basin tap, and in the afternoon rebuild the entire water network of a flat under renovation. What does not change is the method: understand the state of the installation before touching it. In a house built in the seventies, a badly judged repair bursts the next section along.
Often what a customer thinks is a worn tap is actually too much pressure in the network. Changing the tap would fix nothing, because the cause keeps working against the whole installation. The signs are taps failing quickly, noise in the pipework when you close a tap, and small recurring leaks on connections that should last for years.
The opposite case, low pressure in an older building, is usually scale narrowing the inside of the pipe. We measure before proposing anything, because the two situations have nothing in common.
A fixed quote given over the phone for a home we have not seen is an invented number. We always give an estimate so you know the order of magnitude, but the firm price comes after looking at the installation. It is the only way there is no argument at the end.
We work with standard materials from brands available in Portugal. If you prefer to buy your own, that is fine, we fit it anyway, and we tell you beforehand whether the part you chose suits what you have at home.
When we finish, we test the installation in front of you: pressure, drainage and no leaks on the new connections. On new pipework, the pressure test happens before the wall is closed, which is the only moment when correcting a bad joint is still cheap. We leave the place clean.
